The kit was developed in 2001 for Samsung SCT11B chassis, because the high price and high defect rate of original IC's. Problem of original circuitThe reason of short circuit of SMR40200 that stand by system voltage going up by time (because of heat), and reach 180...200V. This fault generally caused by either SMR40200 or HIS0169 IC (anyone!), and usually not a dried capacitor. It occurs if the end “C”, but not so often when the end “B”. The system voltage is 125V when the power supply works normally, and approx. 140V in stand by. When over voltage (>180V) occurs, usually DZ801 zener diode (sometimes other part) goes to short circuit. Because the supply is not overload protected SMR40200 will be shorted. How to install the kitOur kit is a complete power supply which only needs 300V from the mains capacitor (220uF/ 400V) and connects to the original SMPS transformer. No need any other component from the original supply for working, so if any other component also defective, it is not effect for working. You can leave them inside or remove from the circuit.
